How could we determine online the diameter of suspended particles in injection waters, to make faster decisions aimed at mitigating the risk of plugging wells?

Solids Capture
How to capture suspended solids and precipitates in the fluid of industrial water transport pipelines, to be removed from the system, reducing the carryover of solids and the accumulation of sediments?

H2 sulfide in gas
How could we capture hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) diluted in gas, during the extraction, collection, separation and treatment stages of hydrocarbons to protect the integrity of the equipment and the health of the operators?

What is open innovation?
Open innovation is an innovation model that takes advantage of internal and external knowledge and resources to develop new products, services or processes, promoting collaboration between companies, universities, startups and other entities.
What is an open innovation program?
It is one of the ways that entities have to execute their open innovation model, which seeks to promote external collaboration to accelerate the development of solutions, improve competitiveness, optimize resources and generate value through co-creation with startups, companies, universities or the community in general.
How will the monitoring and evaluation of the selected projects be carried out?
- The Selection of participants will be made through the following filters:
Filter 1: compliance with minimum qualifying requirements.
Filter 2: evaluation of the solution through interviews with the candidates.
Filter 3: Those shortlisted will have the opportunity to present their innovative solution in a Pitch with the participation of Ecopetrol.
Will those selected receive investment during the development of the program?
The program does not contemplate equity investment for those selected. An incentive will be granted to those selected which will be used for the execution of the pilot, including the maturation and demonstration of the technology in a controlled environment or in a real environment.
What happens next to the selected participants?
Agreements will be signed to advance to the pilot experimentation phase in a real environment within the operations of Ecopetrol S.A., where those selected will have the opportunity to demonstrate that the proposed innovative technological solution is applicable and appropriate to the strategic activities of the operation of Ecopetrol S.A.

The application deadline for the call is November 21, 2025 at 11:59 PM Clic aquí. After the closing of the call, the stage of correcting requirements will be completed.
What is the modality of the program?
It is a hybrid program, with virtual activities – through communication platforms- and face-to-face activities, which will be previously established by the program organizers.
